Nothing beats a Jug Band for just plain fun and The Even Dozen Jug Band was among the best. Founded in 1963 by Stefan Grossman and Peter Siegel, the band included a cast of soon-to-be headliners: David Grisman, Steve Katz, Maria DAmato (later Muldaur), John Sebastian (The Lovin Spoonful) and kazoo/keyboard maestro, Josh Rifkin, who would later arrange The Baroque Beatles Book, craft award winning arrangements for Judy Collins and single-handedly revitalize the works of Scott Joplin with his three famous, best selling Joplin LPs on Elektras sister label, Nonesuch.
