Stefan Grossman/How To Play Blues Guitar EKL-324
1967
Born in Brooklyn in 1945, Grossman was already a masterful finger-picking guitarist when he formed The Even Dozen Jug Band (recording an album for Elektra in 1964). He also played with The Fugs, Taj Mahal and Janis Joplin, studied with Rev. Gary Davis, and recorded this instructional guitar record, the first of many for him. Stefans influence on American and British guitarists was substantial, and his many recordings, books and concerts continue to inspire new players.
